New Version of Chronicle Template
A new version of the Chronicle template is now available in production for all Gallery publishers. Publishers with existing Chronicle Gallery sites can update their sites to the new version by following the in-product template upgrade steps. See Updating Gallery Templates for information on how to update a Gallery template.
The new version has the following improvements:
- In response to publisher requests, pagination has been replaced with lazy-loading on scroll. This means that now both Showcase and Chronicle templates have lazy loading for collection screens.
- Similar to the Showcase template, Chronicle now allows publishers to insert a CTA after 5,10, or 15 videos.
- A second layout option for hero video has been added. The new layout has a smaller hero image accompanied by metadata. This layout option is recommended for publishers with lower-quality thumbnail images.
31 Oct 2016
New Version of Showcase Template
A new version of the Showcase template is in production. Scalability issue for the hero image have been addressed. There are also two additional layout options that enable better control over image display: maintain aspect ratio for all images (no cropping), or use a maximum width for the site (left and right gutters will display at larger screen sizes). We have also removed the gradient overlay from smaller thumbnails in all layouts and added an additional, lighter color theme called "Slate."
Redirect Missing Video Links to the Home Page
Links to deleted videos will now redirect viewers to the Gallery home page instead of showing a 404 error.
Long Description Option on Video Detail Page
