The Video Cloud App SDK for iOS enables you to develop your own native application for Apple iOS to deliver your Video Cloud videos to iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad devices.

Video Cloud SDK for iOS v 2.3 supports the following:

Currently, the Video Cloud App SDK for iOS requires that you build in Apple iOS development version 6.0.

Download the SDK

Video Cloud App SDK for iOS 2.3 consists of three libraries, which you can download in two zip files:

• libBrightcoveMediaAPI.a, a library that focuses just on Media API calls (contained in bc-media-api-2-3.zip).
• libBrightcovePlayerKit.a, and libBrightcoveSharingKit.a, supporting the iOS 3.2, iOS 4.0, iOS 5.0 and greater Apple Media Player (contained in bc-ipad-iphone-kit-2-3.zip).

Limitations

• Currently searchForRenditionWithLowBitRate() will not work for HLS renditions.
• Brightcove analytics and reports do not track plays in mobile apps -- if you need analytics, you will need to implement your own.
