In this document, you will learn how to use the Quick Video Publishing feature in the Video Cloud Studio to select a video in your Media Library and immediately get publishing code to load that video into one of the single-video players in your account.

Video Tutorial

Sometimes you just want to upload a video and publish it as fast as possible. The Video Cloud Quick Video Publishing feature is designed to help you do that.

Before you can use the Quick Video Publishing feature, you must have a single-video player in your account. Follow the steps in Creating Players with the Publishing Module, which explains how to create a single-video player using the Video Player template.

To use Quick Video Publishing:

  1. In the Media module, select the video you want to publish.
  2. In the Details pane on the right side of the screen, click the Quick Video Publish button. A Quick Video Publish section displays (Figure 1).

  3. For Select a player, select the player you want to use to publish the video from the drop-down menu. The Media module displays only the single-video players in your account. You can preview the video in the selected player by clicking the play button.
  4. Select the type of publishing code you want Quick Video Publish to produce for you: Website (for JavaScript code), Blog (for HTML embed code), or URL (for a link to the video in the player). Click the copy button to copy the publishing code to your clipboard.
  5. Paste the publishing code from your clipboard into the location on the web page where you want to publish the video. If you copied the URL, you can also paste it into a web browser address bar to view the video in the selected player.

You can modify some of the player's behavior using the player's configuration parameters in the publishing code. For example, you'll need to modify the publishing code if you want to embed a player on an HTTPS web page.
