Integrating with Tremor Media's Acudeo

This topic describes how Video Cloud Pro and Enterprise publishers can integrate with Tremor Media's Acudeo video monetization platform. Video Cloud Express publishers should read this topic instead.

Video advertising revenue can add a significant source of income from your web videos. Video Cloud provides an easy way to integrate your players with Tremor Media's Acudeo video monetization platform. Using Acudeo, you can connect to many different ad networks. Note that Acudeo is the only ad integration available to Video Cloud Express publishers, and is available only to Express $499 plan publishers. To get started with the Acudeo integration for Video Cloud Pro and Enterprise:

1. Contact Tremor Media (or send email to brightcovepublisher@tremormedia.com) to set up an Acudeo account. Even if you already have an Acudeo account you will need to contact Tremor so that they enable you for the Video Cloud integration in the Acudeo console. You will need to provide your Video Cloud publisher ID. To find your Video Cloud publisher ID, enter Video Cloud Studio. On the Home page, the Profile Summary in the upper right corner displays your publisher ID:
   
   You will also need to provide some information about your website traffic.
2. In the Video Cloud Advertising module, enable advertising for the players and videos for which you want to make ads available. If advertising is enabled for your account, then "Ads On" is the default setting for videos you upload, so you may not need to do anything here.
3. Select the players that you want to integrate with Acudeo and click Edit.
4. In the Edit Players screen, under Ad Delivery System, select Tremor Media-Acudeo. This causes the Video Cloud Ad Policy Settings to be disabled, since you will be using Acudeo instead of the Video Cloud Advertising module to set your ad policies.
   

Note that the Acudeo system controls the ad policy for your players and videos. The only control you have using the Brightcove Advertising module is enabling videos and players to make the ad calls; the Acudeo ad program determines how many ads are delivered and when.

Working with Acudeo

Once you have your Acudeo account, sign in to the Acudeo console at http://acudeo.tremormedia.com. In Acudeo, you can set up ad programs for each of your Video Cloud players. If you can not see tools in Acudeo that will let you target your Video Cloud players or account for ads, please contact Tremor to be enabled for the integration. To set up an Acudeo ad program, you'll need the player ID of the Video Cloud player where you want to play ads. In an Acudeo ad program, you can decide how many ads you want and when you want the ad to play — for example, before, in the middle, or after your video content.

You can also decide on the ad source — you can get ads from Tremor Media, or you can get ads from many other ad networks, including Google AdSense for video and others. You need to set up accounts with each of the ad networks that you want to use as an ad source.

Acudeo gives you reporting tools that you can use to track the ad performance of your Video Cloud players.
