Instant Publishing Example

The Video Cloud Quick Publishing Feature enables you to get a video up on the web, fast. This example describes another approach.

In this example, we assume you've got a player at the top of your main web page for breaking news. This breaking news player has a single playlist assigned to it. This playlist is a smart playlist that you've set up that:

• includes all videos tagged "breaking"
• plays from newest to oldest

With that player and playlist prepared, here's how you can get a new video playing very quickly:

1. In the Media module, click Add Videos.
2. In the Upload dialog, select the file for the video you want to upload.
3. In the Add Tags to Selected field, enter the tag "breaking". That tag automatically adds the new video to the Breaking News playlist.

   

4. Click Upload All to add the video to your Video Cloud Media Library.

As soon as the upload is complete, your video should start playing whenever somebody loads the page that contains your breaking news player.
