Getting Started with the Brightcove Studio
The Brightcove Studio is an integrated web application that enables you to manage the full workflow for your video assets on the web.
Using the Brightcove Studio
The Brightcove Studio is a web-based application that you access at https://my.brightcove.com. The Home page includes:
- a navigation header
- introductory information about Brightcove, the Brightcove Studio and its major functional modules
- a profile summary, which lists your user name, publisher ID, and Brightcove account edition.
- links to the Brightcove Help Center and Developer Center, which include user documentation, FAQs, video tutorials, forums, Brightcove blogs, and more
- a search window to help you find the information you need
The navigation header
The Brightcove Studio navigation header provides quick access to:
- sign in, sign out, and switch accounts
- switch between application modules
- read Brightcove Help & Community
Signing in and switching accounts
To use the Brightcove Studio, sign in with your user login (email address) and password. If you are authorized to access more than one account, you can use the account drop-down in the navigation header to switch between accounts without needing to sign out and sign back in.
Switching between modules
The Brightcove Studio's features are organized in modules. In this release, Brightcove includes the following modules:
- Media module. Upload and edit videos, group them into playlists, assign playlists to players.
- Publishing module. Design and configure players.
- Advertising module. Set ad request policies for players and videos.
- Analytics module.
You can access each module by clicking on the module's icon in the navigation header.
