Getting Started with Brightcove Express

Brightcove Express is the Brightcove edition designed for the needs of individuals or small companies who require the flexibility and reliability of the leading online video publishing platform at a price that is in line with their traffic, audience, or messaging goals. Using Brightcove Express, you can use Brightcove Studio, our web-based user interface, to:

• upload and manage videos
• group videos into playlists
• create and style video players
• program videos and playlists into your players
• get publishing code you can use to publish your players on the web
• integrate with Tremor Media's Acudeo video monetization platform (available only with the Brightcove Express $499 plan)

You can also use the Brightcove Media Read API to access your video content's metadata.

However, Brightcove Express does not enable you to:

• integrate with advertising servers
• set ad policies on a per-video basis
• create custom player templates
• schedule the start or end of video availability
• use Quova and advanced geo-filtering to limit the countries in which your videos can be viewed
• upload videos by FTP using our batch provisioning servers
• use the Brightcove Media Write API to create videos and playlists in your Media Library

Brightcove Express Plans

Brightcove Express offers several different plans, offering different combinations of capabilities and costs. Read about what's available for each plan. In this Brightcove release, only the Express $499 plan gives you access to an advertising integration.

The Profile Summary in the Brightcove Studio (in the upper right corner of the Studio home page) displays what your current Brightcove account plan is and provides a link you can use to upgrade your account.
