This topic explains how to assign content to players by assigning playlists to a player, changing the order of playlists in players, and assigning content to single-video players.

Once you've uploaded your video content and created players, you need to tie them together, so that the right player displays the right video content. The All Players workspace of the Media module displays all of the players you've created in your account and enables you to assign playlists to the players.

Note: Not all player templates permit you to assign playlists to them. If a player can't accept a playlist, that limitation is noted in its description in the Media module. When you select that player in the Media module, the Add Playlists button in the Media module action toolbar is disabled. Assigning playlists to a player

To assign a playlist to a player in the Media module, use the following steps:

1. In the All Players workspace of the Media module, select the player you want to assign a playlist to.
2. In the action toolbar, click Add Playlists. As an alternative, you can select a player and double-click on it or click the Open button to see the playlists that are already assigned to the player and then click Add Playlists. The Add Playlists dialog opens and displays all of your playlists.
3. Select the playlists you want to assign to the player.
   • Using Shift-click or Ctrl-click to select more than one playlist.
   • If you have a large number of playlists, they will be displayed on separate pages.
   • You can also use the Search Playlists field to find the playlists you want to add.
4. Click Save & Close. The playlists are now assigned to the player and are available to be played when the player loads.

Changing the order of playlists in a player

After you've assigned playlists to a player, you can change the order in which the playlists appear:

1. In the All Players workspace, select the player.
2. Double-click the player or click the arrow button to the right in the player listing.
3. Drag and drop playlists to put them in the order that you want them to appear.

Assigning content to single-video players

Some player templates do not support playlists, and therefore, you can't add a playlist to them using the Media module. This includes all players that use the Video Player or Chromeless Video Player template. To assign a video to one of these players, you must do one of the following:

• Use the Quick Video Publish feature.
• Edit parameters in the publishing code for the players and specify the video ID property of the video you want to play. This is described in the topic, Assigning Content to Players Programmatically.
