You can use the Account Settings page in the Video Cloud Studio to manage global settings for your Video Cloud account.
Note that to access the Account Settings page, you must be a Video Cloud Studio user with the Admin role. Also note that not all the features listed here are available in all Video Cloud Editions.

To access the Account Settings page:

  1. Sign in to the Video Cloud Studio.
  2. On the Studio Home page, click the Account Settings link at the top right, under the navigation bar.

Depending on your Video Cloud account plan, the Account Settings page includes up to seven sections:

Publishing Settings

If you are an Admin user, you can use the Account Settings page in the Video Cloud Studio to:

  • Set the default viral player for your account. This is the player that is used to play a video when a viewer uses the "Get code" feature in a Video Cloud player.
  • Set a custom domain name for your account. You can use a custom domain name to replace link.brightcove.com in the RSS feeds for your players as well as in the links to your players (for example, when a viewer clicks "get link" in your player).
  • Add a logo image for all the videos in your account, as either a logo overlay or a burned-in logo. A logo overlay that you set for an individual video overrides the default logo overlay set for your account, but does not affect a burned-in logo.
  • Enable or disable universal delivery service for your account. With universal delivery service enabled, your account can deliver streaming videos, as well as delivering videos by HTTP (progressive download) via the Media API, which can be important for mobile video delivery.
  • Enable or disable HTML5 player delivery for your account. With HTML5 player delivery enabled, your videos will play on most devices that do not support Flash.
  • Enable or disable cookie-based rendition optimization. When this setting is disabled, players cannot detect initial bandwidth for progressive download videos and will not detect initial bandwidth as accurately for streaming videos.

Analytics

  • Enable or disable collection of Analytics information for your videos. If this setting is disabled, Video Analytics will not be collected. Note that this setting does not affect the Reporting module.
  • Select which time zone your reports are generated in. The default is Pacific Time (GMT -8:00). Note that this time zone setting affects reports on the Reports page and does not affect data available in the Analytics module, video scheduling, or any other Video Cloud feature.
  • Enable or disable collection of video quality analytics information for your videos.

Media Settings

  • Image Resizing. Choose whether you want Video Cloud to re-size your video still and thumbnail images when you upload them using the Media module. Set this to No if you want to use video still images larger than the standard 480px wide, or thumbnail images larger than the standard 120px wide. Read more.
  • Media Sharing Access. Select which Media module users have access to share videos. You can choose to grant access to this feature either to all Media module users, or only to Admin users. This option is visible only if media sharing is enabled for your Video Cloud Pro or Enterprise account. Read more.
  • Media Sharing Settings. If you're using media sharing with custom fields, choose whether the custom fields in the source videos must match the custom fields in the affiliates' videos. Read more.
