Bumpers are short video clips that can be added to a video or to a player:
- Bumpers are supported in all video player templates.
- A bumper should be between 3 and 15 seconds in duration. Bumpers are Flash video files (FLV). The file size of a bumper is limited to 100 Mb.
- You can configure a bumper at the player level, which plays instead of any bumpers set for videos in that player.
- Bumpers have playback priority, meaning that they will play back before any other content associated with the player or video. For example, if you have a video pre-roll ad and a video-level bumper, the play sequence would be: bumper > ad > full-length video.
- If a player has a bumper, or if its first loaded video has a bumper, the bumper begins playing automatically on player load, regardless of whether the player is otherwise configured to automatically play video on page load.
- Video-level bumpers are virally syndicated with the video. Also, if your default viral player has a bumper specified, the player-level bumper will play back when your video is virally syndicated.
- Bumpers do not run with logo overlays. If a logo overlay is specified for a video or account, it will be hidden while the bumper plays.
- Bumpers can not be added programmatically.
- Bumpers must always be in a FLV format, and therefore cannot be played back on mobile devices.
